What's the difference between SFMA Level 1 and SFMA Level 2?

SFMA Level 1 teaches you to find the movement dysfunction behind a patient's pain. SFMA Level 2 teaches you how to treat it.

  • SFMA Level 1: the Top-Tier assessment and the breakout flowcharts, so you can classify each pattern and separate mobility problems from stability and motor-control problems.
  • SFMA Level 2: how to turn those findings into a treatment plan and choose interventions that match each diagnosis.

Take SFMA Level 1 first. Anyone can take the courses, but SFMA certification is reserved for licensed healthcare professionals who can legally assess, diagnose and manually treat musculoskeletal conditions. Both levels are included with the FMS Academy.
