# What's the difference between FMS Level 1 and FMS Level 2?

FMS Level 1 teaches you to run and score the screen. FMS Level 2 teaches you what to do with the results.

- **FMS Level 1**: how to administer and score the seven Functional Movement Screen tests and the clearing tests, spot limitations and asymmetries, and find your client's priority pattern.
- **FMS Level 2**: how to choose, coach and progress corrective exercises for that priority pattern, so you can turn a screen into a program.

Most professionals take both. FMS Level 1 has no prerequisites. To take FMS Level 2 and its exam, complete FMS Level 1 first or take them together. Each level has its own certification exam, and both are included with the FMS Academy.
